Wow! Never before have I been able to watch a book of mine actually get made!?! While I was on Martha’s Vineyard teaching this week, WPBS television in Central New York featured me reading my poem “You Can Keep Your Employee of the Month Award.” And the video is up on YouTube. Howdy! Here’s a video of me and Steve Castro reading our poems for last Sunday’s Poetry + Play event at Syracuse Stage. Steve reads his poems in Spanish and I read his English translations of them. Then I read my poems in English and Steve reads his original translations of them into Spanish. This event was part of an afternoon of poetry in English and Spanish before the final performance of Espejos: Clean, a play by Christine Quintana performed at Syracuse Stage in Syracuse, New York on March 5, 2023.
