And I’ll be returning as faculty, teaching seminars in poetry, the lyric essay, and publishing, along with awesome fellow faculty for an inspiring week of creative writing on the island. In-Person Reading at Syracuse Stage!

Central New York friends! I gave an in-person poetry reading ths Sunday March 5 @ 12:30 at Syracuse Stage. I read my poetry in English and Steve Castro read his original translations of them in Spanish! Steve read his original poetry in Spanish and English. Plus there were other readers in this jam packed afternoon of poetry in English and Spanish!

Whitman on Walls August 18, 2022 in Syracuse

Syracuse-area friends! I’m reading a newly comissioned poem next Thursday Aug 18, as part of Whitman on Walls, a fun film and poetry event at the Everson Museum of Art. Come by, bring a lawn chair, enjoy a food cart dinner, and listen as local poets respond to short films inspired by “Song of Myself.” Yes yes!

I’m delighted to be teaching a one-off generative Zoom workshop on Voice in poetry, as part of the Literary Bit of Reflection Festival run by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council in Oxford, Mississippi!

On Wednesday June 9, I’m reading from my new poetry book, If We Had a Lemon We’d Throw It and Call That the Sun, for the Institute. Anyone can attend the reading! April 23, 2021 – Zoom Reading!

I’ll be Zoom reading from my new poetry book, If We Had a Lemon We’d Throw It and Call That the Sun, on April 23 via The Downtown Writers Center of Syracuse, New York.
