A poem and a short interview with me have just been published online as part of Fairy Tale Review‘s Pins & Needles Q&A series. Poetry Editor Jon Riccio asked some really fun questions about my two poems published in FTR‘s Ochre Issue, and in the space of a few hundred words I managed to cram in Robyn Hitchcock, Mary Ruefle, Craig Raine, Anthony Burgess, Dostoyevsky, James Taylor, Pringles, T.S. Eliot, Ross Gay, P.G. Wodehouse, and Alpha Centauri. Plus the full text of one of the poems, “We’re Actually Fabulous” is included at the end of the interview. Thanks again Jon!

A while back I was interviewed about poems from my first book The Maintenance of the Shimmy-Shammy for Where It’s At with Bob Early. The episode just went live. Thanks again to Bob for inviting me to talk about my work. I hope you all enjoy listening.
You can listen to the podcast on SoundCloud HERE.

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed about contemporary American poetry, prose poetry, and my book The Maintenance of the Shimmy-Shammy (Steel Toe Books, 2015) on The Campbell Conversations on WRVO by Grant Reeher, Director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at Syracuse University. In case you missed yesterday’s broadcast, you can stream or download the show HERE. And thanks for listening!

I just spent a delightful lunch hour being interviewed about contemporary American poetry, prose poetry, and my book The Maintenance of the Shimmy-Shammy by Grant Reeher, Director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at Syracuse University. My 24-minute interview is scheduled to air this Sunday at 6pm on The Campbell Conversations on the NPR station WRVO Public Media.
You can stream the show HERE when it airs or download a podcast of the episode shortly after.

When it rains it pours! This profile of me has just been published on Syracuse.com’s CNY Books & Authors column and will appear in the Syracuse Post-Standard‘s Sunday print edition Empire Magazine on either the 4th or the 11th. Thank you to author Casey Rose Frank for reaching out and for writing such a generous piece about me and my poetry

I’m thrilled and honored to share the news that a full-length interview with me has just been published in the new issue of FOLIO, the literary magazine at American University. At 7 pages it’s the longest interview that I’ve ever done, and I want to thank Editor-in-Chief Kangsen Feka Wakai for his thoughtful and stimulating questions. The interview appears in Issue 31 (Spring 2016), which is focused on the Surreal and Fantastical, and some of the questions address my first poetry book published last year by Steel Toe Books, The Maintenance of the Shimmy-Shammy. This issue’s other interview is with Alberto Rios! You can grab a copy of the journal for $8 HERE.

Here’s an interview with me, published today at Great Writers Steal — as part of their series called “Hey, Why’d You Do That?” — in which I respond to questions about my poem “Nerve Endings Like Strawberry Runners” recently published online at Witness.
The interview includes both the phrase “(certainty + uncertainty)” and my idea of what a poem written for a cat would look like. So, like, you’ve been warned. 🙂
Thanks Ken Nichols!

Poet Alessandra Simmons has interviewed me for her series 5 – 9 : Working Writers. You can read the interview here.
Previous interviews include poets and writers Naoko Fujimoto, Abdel Shakur, Angela Narciso Torres, and Ellis Felker.
If you’re not familiar with Alessandra’s poetry, you can read two poems online from Issue 22 of Post Road Magazine.
Thanks Alessandra!
The excellent folks over at Pank have published a short interview with me about my poems published in Pank last November. Including musical accompaniment. Thanks J. Bradley & Pank!
