Hot golly! Bellingham Review just accepted my poem “Set Before a Feast We Lift a Fork” Huge thank you to Sam X Wong and everyone at BR! It’s, um, another poem of mine set in a grocery store. So thank you also to Wegmans. šŸ¤ 

This will be my second appearance in the awesome Bellingham Review. They were kind enough to publish my lyric essay “Licked by Our World We Get Licked by Our World” in 2021.

My lyric essay “Licked By Our World We Get Licked By Our World” just got published in the new online issue of Bellingham Review! I’m so excited to share this with you all. This is the final essay in my Four Classical Elements series. It’s the water essay, and includes 4000 words on the times I almost drowned, life in the deepest oceans, collecting water from famous places, fish I have known, a diary entry from when I was 15, Altered States, Jaws, Howie Mandel, Close Encounters of the Third Kindā€¦just to name a few. A thousand thanks to all the great folks at Bellingham Review, including B. Woods, Suzanne Paola, and Caity Scott!

My Lyric Essay “Licked by Our World We Get Licked by Our World” Accepted by theĀ Bellingham Review

I’m thrilled to share the news that my lyric essay “Licked by Our World We Get Licked by Our World” has been accepted by theĀ Bellingham Review. I’ve long loved this literary journal and their commitment to lyric and hybrid essays. It’s such a delight that they’ll be publishing this essay.
It’s the last of my four essays inspired by the four classical elements to have found a home–this is my water essay and touches on Jaws, Altered States, fishing, drowning, the Bermuda Triangle, etc. Now I need to finish the last two essays of my following series based on the four fundamental forces in physics. I’m currently knee deep in the Strong Force and have to find a 4000 word essay inside the *gulp* 14,000 words of rough draft I’ve so far spun.
