On this rainy October morning, I’m delighted to have received my contributor’s copy of The Massachusetts Review, which contains my poem “Yesterday I Saw a Small Snake Holding Still” in addition to work from such wonderfuls as Chen Chen, Leah Poole Osowski, Emma Bolden, Dennis Finnell, Christopher Kondrich, Michael Hurley, to name but a few. I’m thrilled to share the news that my poem “Yesterday I Saw a Small Snake Holding Still” has been accepted for publication in The Massachusetts Review! I thought I’d share the photograph that inspired the title–a small ringneck snake I encountered on the Onondaga Community College campus last autumn. (Apologies to any ophidiophobics out there.)
